Kansas Democratic Occasion officers disciplined on marketing campaign finance situation

The Kansas Governmental Ethics Fee disciplined two former Kansas Democratic Occasion officers Wednesday over errors within the group’s marketing campaign finance experiences that occurred over a seven-year interval.

State ethics officers termed the scope of the errors, which complete over $1.5 million in expenditures and contributions that had been misreported, to be “unprecedented.” Between 2009 and 2016, the social gathering had underreported over $500,000 in contributions, in addition to $507,000 in unreported expenditures, plus further property that had been overreported.
