John R. Davidson has been named vice chairman for enterprise and finance and chief monetary officer at The College of Texas at Arlington.
“As vice chairman for enterprise and finance and CFO, John will function a key chief in serving to UTA be one of many nation’s most inclusive and impactful analysis universities,” UTA President Jennifer Cowley mentioned in an announcement. “Along with his institutional information and intensive skilled expertise, he has the expertise and information to develop the College’s useful resource methods and infrastructure plans to realize success in our strategic focus areas.”
In an announcement, UTA mentioned that Davidson brings greater than 20 years of expertise in authorities and better schooling finance management positions to his new position on the college, the place he served as interim CFO since February. Davidson got here to UTA in August 2015 as affiliate vice chairman for budgets, planning, and evaluation, main the design and implementation of a transformational planning and budgeting software program and an effort to revamp the College’s funds mannequin.
Earlier than UTA, Davidson served as vice chancellor for administrative affairs and CFO at Arkansas State College-Mountain House, institutional finance coordinator on the Arkansas Division of Larger Training, and senior funds analyst with the Arkansas Division of Finance and Administration. He earned each an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in enterprise administration from Louisiana Tech College.
